Job Description

 

  • Must be able to use all scales to verify weights of materials and parts
  • Must be able to determine and add TARE weights to any/all containers that do not have TARE weights
  • Must be able to determine accurate part quantities for each individual container
  • Must be able to verify, adjust, change, etc. all labels for accuracy and match
  • Must be able to make new labels when necessary prior to moving parts or containers to the next location
  • Must be able to determine the correct part number and revision level for all parts prior to moving them to the next location
  • Must be able to effectively and accurately receive and scale all materials. Including from the pre-stage areas
  • Must be able to use printers and computers, including hand held scanners to verify accuracy of part counts and part identity
  • Maintains accurate records and keeps copies of all scaled transactions for parts and materials. Including additional copies if necessary prior to moving parts to the next location, i.e. WIP, FG, next plant location
  • Must verify that all parts and materials are packed in the correct packaging and containers
  • Must verify that all standard pack quantities are accurate prior to moving to the next location
  • Must be able to communicate to the floor leader, Coordinator, or Plant management when it is necessary to reroute materials/parts/containers back to the work center when necessary
  • May be able to adjust part count/piece weight to adjust any individual container for standard pack and accuracy
  • May be required to fill-in and support the loading and unloading of truck loads. Including, may be required to assist in Shipping & Receiving
  • May be required to fill-in as a Material Handler when necessary to support the production floor
  • Must be able to cycle count parts when necessary. Including assist in inventory management and accuracy
  • May assist in managing the flow of parts, materials and containers between any campus facility
  • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor

All associates are required to conform to IATF 16949, ISO9001:2015 and ISO 14001 standards and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Responsible for reading and understanding the IATF16949, ISO9001:2015 and ISO-14001procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Quality System Documentation
  • Michigan forklift truck operators permit required
  • Excellent safety record
  • Able to communicate well with others
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
