Job Description


The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

  • Schedules and conducts meetings with customers, suppliers, and in-plant personnel.
  • Addresses and follows through on in-house and customer complaints.
  • Works with customers to obtain all necessary APQP documents including: Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Communicates customer prototype needs to department heads and monitors progress.
  • Supports internal as well as third party ISO:9001 Quality Management System audits.
  • Audits - Internal product identification; Coils, WIP, Finished Goods.
  • Audits - Parts boxed, labeled, and shipped to appropriate destination.
  • Audits - Annual check fixture certifications.
  • Audits - Associate inspection tool calibrations.
  • Audits - Company owned inspection tool certifications.
  • Prepares and updates: set-up instructions, check fixture instructions, operator inspection instructions, and should it become necessary; repair instructions and sort logs.
  • Involved in all die buy-off’s.
  • Verifies 5/6 PC CMM layouts meet customer requirements.
  • Audits 300 PC Die Buyoff (Check Fixture and Visual).
  • Verifies 30 PC Capability Studies meet 1.67 PpK.
  • Prepares, submits, and follows through with deviation request forms (if necessary).
  • Ensures all corrective actions are submitted in a timely manner and all preventative counter measures are verified.
  • Understands, supports, and implements the company safety and quality policies into daily work habits.
  • Understands, supports, and implements the company housekeeping initiatives and continuous improvement activities into daily work habits.
  • Understands principles and application of GD&T.
  • Understands contemporary measurement equipment such as; CMM and Laser Scanning.
