Job Description

  • Answer incoming calls and greet customers insuring that all visitors sign in
  • Help maintain and update associate bulletin boards and information centers (Thin Client, Postings, etc.)
  • Maintain hilo/crane pre-shift checklists
  • Update and maintain SDS books
  • Supports commercial tracking information for RFQ response, coordinating with estimating department, incoming PO status tracking, etc.
  • Set up sales folders
  • Prepare quotation letters
  • Act as purchasing liaison for engineering items
  • Ensures POs are received in a timely manner
  • Typing, filing, and various clerical duties as needed by the Dept.
  • Communicates, promotes, and supports departmental goals
  • Works with Materials/Shipping/Production to maintain 100% delivery performance and ensures that all shipments are made as required by the customer
  • Assists Quality Department staff, as needed, to ensure quality parts are shipped to customers. Work with Operations and Production personnel to ensure quality issues are dispositioned in a timely manner to meet customer requirements.
  • Preparation and verification of customer orders
  • Pull customer orders, tag parts, scan orders, and operate scale
  • Keeps work areas clean and orderly; maintains 5S
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor

  • Able to communicate well with others.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office experience.
  • Basic understanding of data management.
