JOB/TASK FUNCTIONS:

The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position.  However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

  • Specify and follow up on new machinery coming into plant.
  • Specify and follow up on new tooling for all hot stamp lines
  • Generate process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain department PDCA’s and report out as necessary.
  • Track and monitor tryout events and be a direct line to the Axis tooling group on tool improvements of new dies.
  • Review and initiate material savings through material size reductions.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of the EHA Engineering Hold Area.
  • Generate cost and labor reduction ideas and opportunities
  • Continuously research new technology and see where it can be applied at Euclid.
  • Work with Tool Room Manager to justify new products and projects.
  • Engineer/design small equipment such as pins for dies and fixtures.
  • Go offsite to review possible takeover business.
  • Spec out auxiliary equipment needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Help in departmental operation wherever necessary.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
  • Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; journeyman's in tooling; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Strong background in tooling preferred!
